Cardiovascular Health – Dancing includes a range of intensity in aerobic activity, which will improve and strengthen the lungs and heart, tackling the nationwide issue of child obesity.
Balance, Co-ordination and Flexibility – Dancing instantly helps to improve these aspects of movement.
Fun – Dancing incorporates the latest pop and music video moves as well as partnerwork, choreography and performance. Fun is an unavoidable factor!
Grace and Agility - Improved posture, mobility and flexibility will contribute towards improved co-ordination, grace and agility.
Confidence – Dancing encourages confidence, develops creativity and self expression and also gives the participant a sense of achievement regardless of their level of working.
Inspired: Yoga
Yoga supports and maintains emotional expression and promotes well-being within body and mind. Working with storytelling, our classes engage young people’s imaginations and encourage creative ideas. The benefits include:
Flexibility - Gentle stretching, twisting and bending works on the joints, muscles and tendons lengthening the limbs of the body and making them supple.
Concentration and Focus – Controlled breathing helps focus the mind and improve concentration, increasing memory retention heightening self-awareness and releasing tension.
Posture and Balance –Yoga focuses on alignment of the body and can improve and correct bad posture as well as improve balance.
Muscular and Immune System – Yoga strengths these systems in the body and helps them work better. Yoga is the only exercise that massages and tones internal organs, and so improves blood circulation.
